Use a shape as a gauge.
Oh Wise Ones,
How can I use a shape as a gauge? I couldn't get a chart to not look like a chart. I want to indicate the contents of a cell - lets say A1 as a percentage. So if A1 contains 50 the shape is half full etc. It's not quite a progress bar, but would look like one. Horizontal if possible. Thanks, Mike |

One very simple way

Thanks Bob! That's really slick. I was kinda out of free cells but I'll find
a way to wedge it in there. Here's a good example of using a chart to create a guage of sorts:
http://www.andypope.info/charts/gauge.htm There are others out there that look more like progress bars, etc. Just Google something like "+excel +gauges +vba" and you'll find some good examples. HTH, Eric |
