Export from excel to Access
 

I have ste up code to export excel data to a table in access 2007. It works
in Access 2003 but not 2007. The following extract fails with the message
"Run-Time Error '3343'. Unrecognized database format "C:\Documents and
Settings\Peter\My Documents\NEMS\Databases\Backends\NEMS Members_be.accdb"

Dim db As Database, rs As Recordset, r As Long

Set db = OpenDatabase("C:\Documents and Settings\Peter\My
Documents\NEMS\Databases\Backends\NEMS Members_be.accdb")

It seems that DAO and access 2007 don't mix!

Access is no tbackwards compatable. Usually when you install a newer version
of access you have to upgrade the database to work. I would go into your
excel VBA menu tools - References and use these two version of the libraries

1) Micorsoft Access 11.0 object library
2) Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.8 library

These libraries are the standsrd ones I use with Excel 2003. I don't know
what 2007 uses.
