Open a excel workbook that has a different extension

Hi all

I am using Excel 2007 to try and open a excel file the has a different
extension than excel's normal ones, it brings up a message box asking me
whether I want to really open this file. Is there some way to get rid of this
message?

Any answers would greatly be apprieciated.

Open a excel workbook that has a different extension

Windows Explorer, Tools|Folder Options|FileTypes.. Hit New extension and
associate this extension to worksheet.

Hi Jacob

Thanks For your reply, but I had already tried that but it seemed to make no
difference.
