Formula needed for date range report - Excel 2003

I have some numerical data that is filled daily by by several individual
under their worksheet name and a linked master sheet that sums them monthly.
How do I include a formula in the master sheet that will extract specific
date range data (i.e. Feb 16 - 27) and not the monthly data.
