How to launch a live map application using selected Excel data
 

I need to know whether there is a way to select the Excel data on the sheet
and launch a live map using a Ribbon control. There are tutorials of using
Visual Studio for Office tool to get data from Access database into a Excel
sheet and launch a live map using Ribbon Excel Add-in control. Are there some
sample codes to directly get data on the fly from Excel without using the
Access database?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
