how to group sheets to perform a find

I need to remove duplicate names in about 8 or 9 worksheets. How can I
perform a search without having to go into each sheet? I don't know how to
group...

You can CTRL-Click the tab you want to search (this will do a multiple
select of sheets) then do the search.

how to group sheets to perform a find

You don't need to group the sheets to search within "workbook" in the search
options.

Grouping is done by selecting one sheet tab then CTRL + ckick on any others
you want in the group.

Or by select then SHIFT+ click to group a continguos group of sheets.

Or right-click on a tab and "select all sheets"

BTW...........if you type "group sheets" in the Help dialog then "select
sheets" you will see all the info you need about grouping sheets.
