Identifying Conditional Format
Is there a way to determine the conditional format that is displayed in a
cell? I want a VB script to count all of the cells in a range that have particular format. I would like to have cells included in the count whether the format is "hard-wired" (fixed format), or whether the format is set by conditional formatting. Say I want to count the cells with a green fill. I want the count to include cells that are permanently formatted with a green fill, as well as cells whose current conditions result in a green fill being applied as a result of conditional format. Anyone have an leads on how to determine what format is currently displayed in a conditionally formatted cell? -- David |

Identifying Conditional Format
Hello David Benson, The conditional format can be determined for a cell. But, remember in Excel '95 to 2003 you can have up to 3 conditions. In 2007 there are many new changes to conditional formatting that would probably make writing this macro a waste of time. I have seen some code for checking the older Excel versions conditional formats, but I don't have any code or site addresses for you.
