Hiding option buttons
 

Hi there,
I'm creating a sheet that will be accessed by both pupils and teachers -
however, I don't want the pupils to access the teacher parts. One of those
parts is a series of form control option buttons (in group boxes). I have
created a password protected macro to hide columns, yet the final column of
option buttons (and the group boxes) remains visible (no matter how many
columns I select). What am I doing wrong?

Hiding option buttons
 

First, if you have information that the students shouldn't see -- or information
that shouldn't be shared between teachers, then don't do this.

Excel's worksheet protection is easily broken or bypassed. That information
will get out.

But...

Since you used the optionbuttons from the Forms toolbar, your macro could hide
the optionbuttons you don't want to see.

If you had used the optionbuttons from the control toolbox toolbar, you could:
Click on the design icon (also on that control toolbox toolbar)
rightclick on each of the optionbuttons
choose Format control|Properties tab
select "move and size with cells"
(make sure that the optionbuttons are completely within the cell/row/or column.)

Thanks for this - however, the 'move and size' option is greyed out...

Help!

That's because you used optionbuttons from the Forms toolbar.
