match/Offset help
 

I am having issues with a formula that uses match and offset. The formula
links to a closed workbook and if this workbook is closed when the file
opens, the formula #VALUES and will not update until I open the source. Any
help on this?

I am using offset and match to make a complex lookup.

I thought I read somewhere that certain formulas will not update unless the
source file is open, but can't find anything in my search today.
