Excel 2000 Simple Shell Command Doesn't Work in Excel 2007
This is a very simple issue.
Attached to a command button is the script: Shell "P:\exe\ktbatch.exe" This ran fine in Windows 2000 with Office 2000. When I loaded the spreadsheet into a PC with XP Professional and Office 2007 the command no longer works. No error message is generated, nothing seems to happen when I click. When I look at the shortcut on my desktop it has: Target: P:\exe\ktbatch.exe Start In: P:\runtime Now I understand this may have something to do with where the executable is running however the shortcut parameters haven't changed, the shell script worked before, why not now? Thanks! |
Excel 2000 Simple Shell Command Doesn't Work in Excel 2007
Bumping this as I have not received any feedback yet. Despite a long
search I could not find any source on the net for VBA shell commands, all are in response to very specific issues. Why is this so hard? |
