Tanspose Error

Excel 2003. I recieve this error when i am transposing: "the information
cannot be pasted because the copy area and the paste area are not the same
size and shape"
I think that it might be related to the amount of cells because when i
transpose a portion of the spreadsheet its fine. The error description is
what is confusing myself. Any ideas.

You cannot transpose more rows than there are columns if that's what you're
trying to do.

i.e. Excel 2003 has 256 columns so you cannot transpose 257 rows.
