If you're saving it in Excel 2007, save it as an .xlsm file.

don't use 2007 very much, but check the trust center in xl2007, maybe it's
set to disable all macros.
i set mine to enable all macros. i only open workbooks i design.

but every workbook i design in 2003, always has the macros available.
