howto: disable date recognition?
Hi,
I have a question "how to disable date recognition in Excel 2007" for example: 1. copy-paste: if text contains something like "1.2" - it is converted to a date 2. explorer "open tab delimited txt file with Excel": every cell values is converted to date if possible (nonsense) 3. typing 1.2: converts to date I know how to format cells to text before typing or "copy-paste". But this does not work for nr.2 Is the any availabe solution to completely or partially disable date recognition, since this is the most annoying function for me? Thanks for any answer Giedrius |
