Automatic Color on Export to Excel
We regularly export from Access to Excel, and it would be helpful if there
were a way to program Excel to highlight fields that contained a certain value. If it could automatically detect when 'Check Part Number' was in the Part Number field and highlight the cell in red, that would be pretty cool. Any suggestions? -Pete |

have u tried using conditional formating. In excel, you can select the
entire column and use conditional format under the format menu path. dmoney "Author" wrote: We regularly export from Access to Excel, and it would be helpful if there were a way to program Excel to highlight fields that contained a certain value. You, sir, are correct. This is not the exact solution I was looking for as
it involves me actually manipulating the file, but it looks like the one I'll be using. I would use a macro, but our intranet don't allow their kind in these parts. Muchas truchas, have a great day! -Pete "dmoney" wrote: have u tried using conditional formating.
