How can I insert a callendar (point and click for date) in excell

I want to use a point and click callendar embedded in an excell cell so that
dates can be inputted without deviating from date format.

Why don't you format the cell in the format you want and then no matter how
it ia entered in will automatically revert to the correct format. Either
format it to one of the pre specificed formats or use a Custom format.
