ExcelBanter - Solver and 64 bit

Hi Group,

The problem: €œCompile error: Cant find project or library€

I have code that runs well on a desktop, but gives me the error above when I
run it on a laptop. The laptop is an HP Pavilion 9700, running AMD Turion 64
bit operating system, Mobile Tech TL-64, 2.2GHz.

The code ran well, until I added code for Solver. It runs fine on the
desktop, but fails on the 64 bit laptop. Tools/References indicates €œMISSING:
SOLVER.SLA.€ The only Solver DLL that I find seems to indicate it is 32 bit,
€œSolver32.dll€ and I get a message that this file can not be added anyway.

Is there a 64 bit version available? Possibly a MVP can find the answer to
this from Microsoft?

The path I used to find Solver32.dll was OS(C:)/Program Files(x86)/Microsoft
Office/Office11/Library/Solver/SOLVER32.DLL, when I attempt to open, I get
€œCant add a reference to the specified file.€ I can only assume this was the
correct path?
