solely search certain cells
 

Hi, I'm looking for a way to search only one or two specific cells from a
number of workbooks in a directory - without opening the workbooks.

As a workaround i'm currently searching the workbooks and then using getdata
to retrieve the data from the cells i want. The problem with this approach
is that it appears rather time consuming and often hangs.

Any help would be appreciated
