remote references and external link values
 

I have several workbooks that reside in one place that a dozen or so people
access.
They all log on to the excel server and run excel from there.
There is also a scheduled task which runs an update macro for each of the
workbooks.
The issue I am having is that even though they are all opened from teh same
server there are different itterations of excel running for each user so not
all of the settings are the same.
Whats happening is the "Update remote references" and "Save external link
values"
options are getting checked so that when the scheduled task runs it is
trying to open the workbook but then comes up with a dialog box asking if you
want to update remote references or not. since this is an automated task
there is no one to answer the dialog box and the scheduled task just times
out without ever running the update macros.
is there an on save macro or something that I could use to make sure these
options are disconnected? or is there an easy way to get rid of all of the
remote references and external link values from each workbook?
