Linked Workbook Files
 

Good day,

One way that I use to maintain backup copies of important "working" files is
to make a copy of the file using today's date when I open the file to modify
it. This appears to be problematic when I change the name of a file that I
have linked to another workbook. Is this as straightforward as it seems?
Must I maintain the linked file names? Or is there a way to easily redirect
the links?
