Can any one guide me or provide some URL or link or doc to learn the
following concepts. xlup,xldown, xlformulas,xlwhole ,xlnext,xlbycolumns and
xlformulas etc. I am new to excel programming.

From an Excel worksheet key Alt + F11 to get into the VBE. From there click
the Help button and select Microsoft Visual Basic Help then just type in the
word you want.

The examples you gave are Excel constants. There is not one place that you
can find the values of these constants and how they are used within the Excel
or VBA help facilities. You can find a complete listing of them in the VBA
help files by typing Microsoft Excel Constants in the VBA help search box and
press enter. Then click on the same term to bring up a listing of the
xlConstants. You can then open the Object browser and search for the class
and member relationships of the constants. There is no easy way in the
Application facilities to get what you are looking for. The alternative is
to shell out about forty bucks for a book on VBA programming.
