Programming personal macro workbook

I have written some code into several of my collegue's personal macro
workbook that stamps username and date/time into designated cells when a
custom button on their Excel toolbar is clicked. The process works fine, but
occasionally, a reinstall of Office or configuration changes in the terminal
server eliminates the personal macro workbook.

In order to save me the effort of reinstalling in person (they work in
different states) is there a way that I can write a procedure that will
detect if the personal macro workbook exists and if not, set it up? The
procedure would then place a standard code into the personal module. I would
incorporate an input box or userform/combo box where the user could respond
to a prompt asking which row their "Review Stamp" should be stamped.

Finally, I need to set up a custom toolbar button, with control tip text
associated with the installed procedure so the stamp macro will run when it
is clicked. I'd like to burn the set up program to a CD that they can run in
the event they have to reinstall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam

Sam,

Copying code from workbook to workbook
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/vbe.aspx

Creating custom menus and toolbars
http://www.j-walk.com/ss/excel/tips/commandbars.htm

You'll have to be sure that the users have enabled "Trust Access to Visual
Basic Editor" under Macros, Security.
