Excel addin - how to deploy?

How would I deploy an addin to a user's addin directory? I have an addin
that I would like to deploy to any Excel environment. Do I need to shell out
to buy an installer program like Wise, or is there another way? From what I
know now, there are probably two versions, an XL 97 thru 2003, and an XL
2007 version. Can anyone offer suggestions, or an article or book that shows
how to do this?

Thanks

Take a look at http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php.
It's free and widely used.
