WhytheQ

xlsm

Good Morning,
An easy question to start the week:
Any disadvantages to saving all Excel files as xlsm, rather than xlsx?

Regards,
Jason.

If you have no VBA code, then the two types are essentially the same. An
XLSX cannot store VBA code. If you do have VBA code, you need to save as
XLSM.

So really, unless it is definitely just a data sheet, I may aswell
always use xlsm (as I might want to add code later)
Thanks for the help Chip.
