Stop Recording Macro
I am making a macro toolbar for efficiency sake. Problem is, in the
commands of customize toolbars, I cannot find the 'stop recording' command to add to my toolbar. Is there someplace else I should look for this command, or some other way I can achieve my goal? I am using WinXP Pro and MSOffice 2003 Pro Thanks for the info Joanne |
Stop Recording Macro
hi
not sure you can find it. in the customize box,it should be in the tools commands but it's not. reason i think is that when you click Toolsmacrorecord macro.... while in record mode the menu item for record macro changes to stop recording. when you stop recording, the menu item stop recording changes back to record macro. there is a built in menu for stop recording but you wont not able to add this to your custom menu. maybe have the two side by side when recording. regards FSt1 "Joanne" wrote: I am making a macro toolbar for efficiency sake. Tools|Customize|Commands tab|Tools Category
Look for Record new macro And add that to your toolbar. When you're recording a macro, it'll change to the stop recording icon/function. Joanne wrote: I am making a macro toolbar for efficiency sake. Stop Recording Macro
The long, difficult way...
Create a new toolbar (if you haven't) Start recording a macro so you see the stop recording toolbar. tools|customize (just so you can see this dialog) ctrl-click on the stop recording icon and drag it to your new toolbar. Stop recording and discard the recorded macro. Joanne wrote: I am making a macro toolbar for efficiency sake. I guess my previous posting went into cyberspace.
Right click the menu bar click customize In the dialog box, click Toolbars Find the Stop Recording checkbox and click it. It has its own tool bar, not a button.
