finding charcters for UDF

I have this line in my UDF which worked in excel 2003 and I seem to be having
trouble in excel 2007...

If eigth = 3 Then
TYfrac = root & "-" & fracint & "" & ChrW(&H215C)
End If

Can ChrW be referenced the same way???

I'm getting 3/8, in Excel 2007, using this procedu

ActiveCell.Value = ChrW(&H215C)
End Sub
