Default Can Excel modify data in a Query?

If I set up a query table on a worksheet and use an Access db or
another Excel file as the data source, is it possible to modify the
data from Excel itself? If so, by what methods?

Cheers,

You can use MS Query to get into an Access database, in which case you
can query it in any way you want.

I understand that I can query it, but can I modify the underlying data
from Excel?
