Size comment box

When writing comments to cells I have been unable to come up with a good way
to measure size of strings to size the commentbox accordingly. Are there any?

When using Split window and freeze on, say, the first two rows in a
worksheet any commentbox in cells in the first two rows get partially hidden
if the sheet has been scrolled down some. Are there any way around this?

Any help appreciated.

#1. Maybe
http://contextures.com/xlcomments03.html#Resize
From Debra Dalgleish's site.

#2. I've never seen a way to control this--except for moving the comment.
