get from Excel 2003 add-in to Excel 2007 add-in
All,
OK, I know I am having a mental block, but I cannot seem to transfer my 2003 add-in to a 2007 add-in. I opened the AddIn.xls with Excel 2007 and saved it as a .xlsm. Then when I open the .xlsm and try to get to the VBA editor by selecting View/Macros, I see all of my macros, but they are "dimmed out". What am I missing here? TIA, Bill |

The Trust centre can be found by clicking on the circle in the top left, then goto Excel Options, Trust Centre, Trust Centre Settings... James |

James Hey James, Well I checked the Trust Centre and there was nothing obvious that I saw. Now I am wondering if perhaps I had them password protected in Excel 2003 and that might be the problem.... Well, I just checked and indeed I have the macros password protected in the 2003 .xls. I do remember the password, but Excel 2007 does not prompt for it. Any thoughts? Bill |

Alt F11 popped up the VBA Project Window, and clicking on the Project prompted for the password. (I did say it was a "mental block") Thanks, Bill |
