Opening a Shared File

At work, every time I try to open an Excel file that has been saved, the
spreadsheet does not open all of the way. I can only see the toolbar and the
bottom part of the page, the middle (spreadsheet) stays see through. The only
way I can open the file is to open a new excel and open file from there. Any
help wpuld be great, this is very furustrating

Opening a Shared File

Interesting. Is there any VBA code in the file? does it ask you to enable ro
disable code on open? Have you set your secutirty settings to disable all
files with code in it? If so reduce your security and then try enabling or
disabling the code. Some code can change the appearance of excel files. You
could have a software problem with Excel and or MS Office. Try opening an
instance of Ms Excel (with no files open) and then run the "Detect and
Repair" option from the Help menu. then try opening the file again. you could
also try holding down shift as you open the file. this also disables code
(auto_open code).
