How to filter and count unique record?

I want to have the number of cells when I filter on a unique record. Please
let me know how.

The SUBTOTAL() functions allows us to do math on filtered data. Something like

=SUBTOTAL(2,A1:A100)

SUBTOTAL ignores the "invisible" rows
