Data Validation used with VLookUp function
How can I use the data validation tool in a column on sheet1 based off of
data from sheet 2 a1-a50(I do know how to use the tool), where if you choose say 'xx'(the value from a1) from the drop down list the function will return the value from sheet2 b1 instead of a1. |
Data Validation used with VLookUp function
You need to have 2 columns in the sheet 1. Fitst (a1) will be the result
selected in the drop down, the second (b1) will be your vlookup that will return your value. Also, on data validation in order to read the data list from sheet 2 the range has to be labled for example 'Range1". Then in the validation box you need to call up that RangeName "Mekinnik" wrote: How can I use the data validation tool in a column on sheet1 based off of data from sheet 2 a1-a50(I do know how to use the tool), where if you choose say 'xx'(the value from a1) from the drop down list the function will return the value from sheet2 b1 instead of a1. |
