hi all
 

i have a file similar to csv but my extention is res where data will be there
in coloumns and rows.

i want to have a macro which can open that file in excel and automatically
run the text import wizard so that mydata will became cell data for the
opened exel file.

nut shell i need to open some txt file in excel and run text to columns
wizard...

is there any shortcut or macro there?

please help me in this regard

You can do that by Open With menu in Windows explorer choose Microsoft Office
Excel to open that file then check Alway use the selected program.....
