Default Vlookup Question

If you've already used a value (or cell) to search for in a vlookup, can you
not use that cell as part of a range in another vlookup? I keep getting an
error and I'm wondering if thats why?

Should be no problem, so PROBABLY you are looking (for example) for
100 as a number, when the formula is returning a text value (which
looks the same to you and I but isn't to Excel) OR you are using the
TRUE arguement at the end of the vlookup formula and the list isn't
sorted OR one or other items of data has one or more trailing spaces
(and there are probably even more OR's I haven't mentioned)

Default Vlookup Question

Thanks for your quick response! I'm looking for text and returning a number
column.... should I convert the return value to text as well? What is the
rule on the returning value? I'm using False at the end of the VLOOKUP and
there are no triailing spaces... any ideas?? Thanks for your help!
