assumption issues....

Hi.
This is for the MS office programmers who've designed, and update Office--
specifically as it relates to Excel.
Forthe past few days I've been formatting cells to accomplish a specific
task within a larger project.
The first problem that I've run across is with the color formatting,
compared to the border outlining, as they relate to this new little toolbar
that pops up each time a cell is activated.
1- When I choose a border on that toolbar its choice IS NOT duplicated on
the ribbon item.
2- When I choose a color from that toolbar, it's choice IS duplicated on the
ribbon.
Make up your mind folks-- have it the same for both-- one way or another.
I for one like that new little toolbar, and being able to have two different
choice sets is actually quite helpful.

Cell number formatting as it relates to the old "formet cells" option when
you right click on the cell.
I've been dragging down a number group and do not want it to automatically
run in a series-- I want to keep the same numbers throughout my drag down
grouping. Excel can't seem to decide if to do that or not. I.e., it won't do
it for one group, and then it does for the next. Again.... please just pick
one.

And yes, I have it set to text format, as that seemed to initially work to
prevent this series filling.
Please..... have it one way or the other.
Or, since you've completely changed the interface, make it more clear how to
do a drag down to fill without automatically updating/changing it.
Thanks.
