Grab Data Validation selection instance without using Worksheet_Selection_Change Event
 

Hi all,

Is there a way to run a code on selecting a particular value in data
validation list, without using a worksheet_selection_Change event?

I have 2 columns B & D filled with data validation lists (produced
thru code) having 2 defined named ranges for each, for the list
values....

As such i cannot use a Worksheet_Selection_Change event as the target
would be either one of the 2 column cells...
i.e. worksheet_selection_change does not run at all.....

What i want to do is select a value in say columns B, ....on selection
of a value, it will input a "Y" in column C & run a particular code
module.....

If i select a data validation list from Column D, it will input "Y" in
column E & run another different module.....

Since there are 2 columns filled with data validation lists, i m
unable to use Worksheet_Selection_Change() event....

Please advice!
