Default Excel bug

Hi.
I've been getting a gray box every once in a while that covers a part
of my spreadsheet. Once it comes up, I have to close excel and reopen
the document.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

i've seen it, too, but not in a while. i think it has something to do with some
coding errors. memory gets trashed or something and the only way to clear it is
to close it and reopen it.

maybe someone has a more technical explanation.
