ODBC MS Query - chinese character issue
 

hi, we have english version of ms excel, query 2003 and windows xp. with
MYOB, some data values are stored in both chinese (traditional) and english.
When i view the data with MS Query, it is fine - i.e. both chinese and
english is displayed as expected. however, when i return the data to excel,
the values that have chinese are corrupt. for each field, the correct chinese
characters are returned, but in ADDITION, some extra characters are
automatically appended.

has anyone experienced this before?
