excel prob - cant save worksheet if someone has it open in a veiwe
Client has a prob where they have some staff using 2003 excel viewer and if
they have a workbook open in veiwer, then the accounts staff can't save their changes in the same workbook in their Excel 2002 program without having to go around to find and close the offending veiwer/s. Any way around this? is this a known MS prob? It seems that the veiwer tags it read only or something. Have tried with making it a shered workbook but that doesn't seem to work with the veiwers. Thanks for any info -- Kiwi |
excel prob - cant save worksheet if someone has it open in a veiwe
I quick test with the Excel 2003 Viewer shows it able to open Shared
workbooks as Read-Only and whilst open in the Viewer, changes can be made and saved in Excel. Maybe something else is the cause. NickHK "Stephen" wrote in message ...
