Drop Down List Referring to a Named Range on Different Worksheet
I have a Receipt list set up in a spreadsheet, with a list of departments on
a separate sheet in the same workbook, named "DeptList". How do I set up a dropdown list next to each receipt number listed down the page that lists the departments to which the receipt can be assigned? Thanks in advance |
Drop Down List Referring to a Named Range on Different Worksheet
Hi
Sounds like data validation would work well for you. Create a named range of your departments "Depts". Then select the range where you want the drop downs, and go to the Data - Validation menu. From the drop down select "list" and in the source input box type "=Depts" (no quotes) "Bigg19" wrote: I have a Receipt list set up in a spreadsheet, with a list of departments on a separate sheet in the same workbook, named "DeptList".
