I am very new to VBA, but I have quite a bit of experience in Excel.
I have data in multiple cells on one row of a spreadsheet that I need
to extract and place on multiple rows (in a new worksheet). My
situation is this: I get a "daily sales report" with one row for each
day. On each row are numbers from different sales categories. I need
to create an import file to get this info into the accounting
system...this requires me to take each of those categories and make a
separate row for each one but using the same date as the row from
which they were extracted. Does anyone know how I should approach
this? What function do I use? I just need a lead to help me get
started. Thanks.- Hide quoted text -

Thanks for the response; here's some of the information,

1st - Columns "A" and "B" Contain the "Transaction Reference" and the
"Transaction Date" respectively. Both of these will need to be
repeated for each item that gets "broken out" of the original row.
(in fact, all the info needs to be placed in a new worksheet, and the
repeated Reference and Date from "A" and "B" need to go into "D" and
"E" in the new worksheet) - these are formatted as Text and Date (mm/
dd/yy) respectively

2nd - F, K, M, N, and O are the columns in the original spreadsheet
that need to be broken out into rows in the new one that needs to be
created. These columns contain data formatted as a number.

3rd (and final) - there are going to be columns in the new spreadsheet
that I need to fill with the same information every time - that's
columns A, B, C, F, G - (some more actually - but if I can get one I
can get them all)
