Prevent "delete" only
 

On a specific worksheet, I would like to prevent users from "deleting"
anything, e.g., rows, columns, or cells. They should be able to clear data
but just not delete. Is it possible to prevent users from deleting on a
specific sheet? Thanks.

Maybe you can unlock the cells and then protect the worksheet.

Format|Cells|protection tab (to toggle the lockedness of the cells)

Tools|protection|protect worksheet (to protect the worksheet).

Remember that worksheet protection isn't very robust. It won't stop anyone who
really wants to make these changes.
