Remove ' from the beging of the string

I have spreadsheet created by importing data from Primavera. In each cell
there is characted which looks like ' but it is not '. Search is not finding
it. It is not shown in the cell, just in the formula bar. How I can remove it
from all cells ???

Regards,

Tony

What I need to do is to remove this formatting character which comes with
importing. If I will copy data, paste to Word as text only and bring it back
cleaning is done. But how to do it directly in Excel ???

Regards,

Tony

You could put a value of 1 in an unused cell, copy this value, select the
range you want to convert and then Past Special (Paste:All,
Operation:Multiply, Skip blanks). This will remove all leading apostrophes.
