link cells in master worksheet to other cells in other worksheets

need to insert the required data in master worksheet 'details' cells
into the other worksheets' cells

You will need to be a little more specific about your requirements. Things
like the rows or columns where the data is on "details" and where it is to go
on the sheets 1000,1001, etc.

ok hope this is clearer:

the column A cells in the 'Details' master worksheet would have data
like 'serial#'

link/insert the data in cell A2 in the master worksheet to the cell C3
in the 1001 worksheet . . .

link/insert the data in cell A3 in the master worksheet to the cell C3
in the 1002 worksheet . . .

link/insert the data in cell A4 in the master worksheet to the cell C3
in the 1003 worksheet . . .

and so on and so on . . .
