Auditing function dehanced?

I'm using XL2000, and am trying to reverse-engineer a spreadsheet.
I've used the auditing toolbar before to find out dependent and
precedent cells. But I haven't done it in a while. In a previous
version, when I clicked on the tool to show dependent or precedent
cells, if there was a cell from another sheet or workbook, the little
icon that appeared could be clicked or double-clicked (don't remember
which) to show where the cell was, including the workbook, worksheet
and cell address. Now it doesn't do that! All it does is tell me that
it's on another sheet. This doesn't matter as much with precedent
addresses, but with dependent ones you don't have the formula to go to
to figure it out!! What a huge dehancement! What is M$ thinking?

Does anyone have a program or method of tracking dependent cells?

Thanks as always!

This feature works to same for me as it always has. Make sure you
double-click the line to the icon not the icon itself.
