Pivot table formulas
I would like to enter a formula into a pivot table.
I have the following data. Item # Qty Date (thousands of line of data) I would like to have a pivot table that would calendarize the data based on the Date, ie Item # Qty Jan Feb Mar etc (summarize the Qty by month) Is this possible and if so how would I go about it. Thanks Don |
Pivot table formulas
hello don:
when you set up the pivot table, have 'date' in the column area. right-click on the 'date' field heading - Group and Show Detail - Group - you then have the option to select 'Months'. this will group your dates into Months. please comment if that solution worked. cheers. chili.
