Sorting issues...

This isn't technically a programming question but I couldn't see a general
excel discussion group...

Generally when sorting you select an area, go to DATA SORT then choose
your options and the selected area is sorted.

I have a workbook that I am trying to sort some information in. I select
the area, then I go to DATA SORT. After the dialog box opens the area I
selected is expanded to included the entire rows of the originally selected
area.

Has anyone seen this before? Do you know what causes it?

Thanks,

Do you have any hidden columns or rows?
