Exporting range definitions from one workbook to another

Hi,

I've got a workbook that has roughly 20 named cell ranges, and there
are several lengthy formulas that refer to those range names within
the workbook. Is there an easy way to export the listing of range
names, along with which cell or cells each one refers to?

The reason I ask is that there is another version of the same workbook
that I need to begin editing, but I'm trying to avoid having to define
those range names all over again. It shouldn't be too complicated,
since the contents and cell locations of the range references are
mostly the same between the two workbooks.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

You can create a list of names and what they refer to using the Paste List
button in the Insert, Paste, Name dialog.

You can use the List and Pickup buttons in Name Manager to create a sheet
containing name definitions (List), change the definitions on the sheet,
copy the sheet to a different workbook, then reload the names and
definitions from the sheet (Pickup)

Download Name Manager from
http://www.DecisionModels.com/downloads.htm
