Default Can Bloomberg BLP functions create an event?

Hi,

I am using a macro to populate a range of cells in my worksheet with BLP-
functions.
The sheets are filled with the formulas "=blp(A1,"SECURITY_DES")". With A1
rangeing from A1 to eg A200.

When I fill the cells they get the above mentioned formula and are almost
immediately populated with the Bloomberg Security Descriptions.

As a last step I want to do some more processing. I walk through the range of
cells and look for specific values (cell by cell).

If I do this excell starts immediately doing this without giving Bloomberg
time to fetch the data into the range. I tried DOEVENTS but that does not
make any difference.

Does anyone of you know if the Bloomberg Add Inn can raise an event as soon
as the process of populating the cells has finished? Or do you have other
suggestions?

My work around is having the user to wait until the cells are populated and
then manually start the second part of the process.....

Thanks!

ML.
