Is there a way to protect a file that prevents it being overwritten in
explorer? |

Not through excel.
Maybe you could talk to your IT folks and put the file on a common shared folder. Give all the users readonly access to that folder--and only allow trusted coworkers (you and a backup???) to have write access to that folder. There's always the Read-Only attribute -- right-click the file and do
Properties, and you'll see it. But network security is better. -- * Please click Yes if this was helpful * Andy Smith Senior Systems Analyst Standard and Poor''s, NYC "Newbie" wrote: Is there a way to protect a file that prevents it being overwritten in explorer? |
