Default Countif using a named range

A cell in the sheet 'PARAMETES' contains 'Communications!F:F'
I have named this range 'Division'

When i use the code below in the PARAMETERS sheet:
=COUNTIF(Communications!F:F;D2)
I get the right result

But when i use the code below in the PARAMETERS sheet:
=COUNTIF(Division;D2)
i get 0 (which is not correct)

????

What's wrong ??

Thanx,

Luc
